We don’t mean to brag, but we’ve been doing this for many many years, since the 80’s. During this time, we’ve seen it all. Some things work well, some work great, and some just don’t work at all. We believe it’s more important to make a quality mattress than it is to make one that just looks pretty in order to “fit into a price point”. Our philosophy has allowed us to earn and maintain our reputation for over 35 years.

Each of our 4 models use premium quality, high density foams for maximum durability and support. The top layer, which is quilted, is the premier comfort layer available on the market today. Our foams are CertiPUR-US Certified® which you can learn about here: www.certipur.us. Each of our mattresses are proudly handmade in the USA (Southern California).
It depends on what size and thickness you order, but because we use high density foams and latex, your mattress will hold up and perform as good or better than other mattresses.
Our mattress contains a fire barrier which works by interrupting the combustion process in the event of a fire to meet the requirements of the Federal Flammability Standard 16 CFR Part 1633 and 1632. The barrier functions to smother and dampen the flames by causing a layer of char to form, which prevents oxygen from feeding the fire and preventing the flames from reaching the foam and spreading.
We do NOT treat our mattresses with any chemicals. The fire barrier used is an inherently retardant fabric and functions without the aid of fire retardant chemicals.
Yes! Each of our mattresses will work on an adjustable base as well as a flat surface.
We ask that you put your Custom Mattress to the test for a minimum of 14 nights before initiating a return. We highly recommend you spend at least 30 nights to allow your body to completely adjust to this new level of comfort and support.
Initiating a Return
If after trying for the recommended time, you decide that your Custom Mattress still isn’t right for you, we’re happy to initiate the return process within the 100 night return window. Please contact us at support@spencerscustommattress.com to initiate your return. Mattresses can be donated to an approved local charity or recycling partner. Refunds will be credited back to the account of your original payment method and usually show up within 7 days. If you prefer, mattresses can also be returned directly to our facility in California. Palm Springs Mattress. is not responsible for mattress removal and donation costs. There is a $150.00 shipping/Delivery Recovery Fee that will not be refunded. Only the custom mattress cost is refundable.

Exclusions
The Palm Springs Custom Mattress return policy is limited to a lifetime maximum of one return per household. Returns must be exercised directly with Palm Springs Mattress. no later than the 100th day following delivery.Bedding Accessories Pads and Sheets and Toppers are not refundable.
Shipping is FREE in the contiguous USA.
At Palm Springs Mattress we strive to process and deliver your custom mattress orders as quickly as possible. Most orders are typically received within approximately 10 business days from the time of purchase. However, please note that delivery times may vary depending on your location and the specifics of your order.
Most mattress orders are received in about 10 days or so, give or take a few days depending on your location.
Your new Palm Springs Custom Mattress is compressed and rolled, then packaged in a box, before being shipped directly to you. Take the box to the location you wish to open your mattress. Remove the compressed mattress from the box, and carefully cut open the outer plastic wrapping of your mattress (A basic letter opener works great for this step). After the outer plastic has been removed, carefully cut or tear away the plastic covering on your mattress. It will immediately begin to expand. Once you’ve removed the plastic, set and position your mattress in its place and allow it to fully expand. It will be fully expanded and ready to use within minutes!
There are no odors or smells any different than those you would encounter when buying a new couch or a new car. Since our beds are made to order, they are only boxed for a short amount of time and sent to you immediately, unlike other companies which store them in warehouses or have them shipped from overseas, where they acquire container smells and become stale. In any natural product you may experience odors due to its natural properties such as wood and cotton. These odors will dissipate over time.
Our beds use only CertiPUR-US® foams so you can be rest assured there are no harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, ozone depletes, heavy metals, and certain flame retardants. These foams meet CertiPUR-US® program standards for content and emissions and are analyzed by independent, accredited testing laboratories.
